Meet The Chef of Breaking Bread Catering
Tyree Harley aka Chef Chuck aka Chef Terrone'
For Chef Chuck, the kitchen has always been more than just a place to prep—it’s where community is built. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Chuck's culinary journey is rooted in the belief that food is a universal language of connection and care.
The Path to the Plate
Chuck's professional foundation was laid at Sullivan University, where he honed the technical skills and "chef-forward" discipline that define Breaking Bread Catering today. His career has been shaped by mentorship and a commitment to excellence, from his early days working under the influential Chef Nicola Palmieri to his first major milestone: successfully catering a breakfast for 100 guests alongside his godson, professional chef Jeremy Ford.
The Philosophy of the Table
As the owner and lead chef of Breaking Bread, Chuck brings a unique blend of high-level catering expertise and a heart for service. Every menu he designs is a reflection of his journey—combining the bold flavors of his D.C. roots with the refined techniques of his formal training.
Whether he’s orchestrating a large-scale corporate event or crafting an intimate private dinner, Chef Chuck’s goal remains the same: to take the best of what we have, bless it with craft, and ensure everyone leaves the table full.
